AUGUST 2025 NEWSLETTER
Dear Friends
August is always a special month for me because it’s my birthday month and this one was no exception. I was treated, spoiled and gifted with food, cakes, presents, flowers, music, hospitality and messages, but what I treasure the most about my birthday is the wonderful sense of belonging to a loving family of relatives, friends, church folk and a very special “someone” who has captured my heart.

Cherish means to appreciate, prize, treasure and value something with a special love and care.

Spring Soirée
26 September 2025 (Friday 6pm - 8pm)
Everything’s on track for the Spring Soiree: a semi-smart evening of musical entertainment by Korean guitarist Yohan Song, art, delicious snacks, cheese, wine, scintillating conversation, and the opportunity to preview the whole set of 15 Inktober drawings before the online auction commences in October.
I will supply more information about how the Online Auction works and what Inktober is all about in the September Newsletter.
Please note that there is only ONE ticket left for the Soiree (maybe TWO, at a squeeze).
Garden Update
A year ago, I ripped up my back garden and planted a Peace Garden in memory of my beloved John after he passed away. Here is a comparison between August 2024 and August 2025. Time and the promise of Spring bring with them new hope and a fresh appreciation for life and love.
September Workshops
Two watercolour workshops will be held, one on 6 September and one on 20 September at my Libradene art studio. There have been some cancellations, so if you’d still like to join one of the workshops, please send me a WhatsApp message. R300 for a 3 hour workshop. All materials, coffee, tea and muffins included. 9 am to 12 noon. All levels of expertise welcome.
